Merry Christmas from THLL

Happy Christmas eve! Oh, how Christmas eve used to be so much more exciting as a child. I still think it might just be one of my favourite days of the festive season; the rush of everyone trying to get the last of their Christmas shopping (I know Clark & I have), the fridge is jam packed with goods, every radio station is blasting out Christmas classics and this evening everyone will be in the spirit to get merry, hurray!

The Festive Party Look

With all these Christmas parties and NYE fast approaching - tis the season to be getting sparkly! Here is my festive party makeup look. The key here is longevity; you want something that's still going to look good past midnight. We all have that friend that likes to snap away the events of the night on Instagram and you don't want to be worrying about touching up your makeup, or smearing your lipstick at the stroke of midnight. So here I have picked the best of the bunch to keep your festive party look intact all night.

Jamie's Italian | Leeds

It's been long over due since I've had a night on the town with my gals in my favourite city. We spontaneously decided on a girls night out, so I booked my train tickets right away. Once I arrived at the Lucy's and Roannah's house, we got glammed up ready for a night indulging in our favourite food and cocktails!

Aqua Sana Spa | Center Parcs

Taking the time to relax is easily forgotten in our busy day-to-day lives, but it's so important to treat yourself once in a while! It's important to take time to chill out and spend time with our loved ones. I love taking the time to relax, be that a pamper night in and enjoying a soak in the bath or taking the time to do an at-home facial. This past week, Clark and I went on a trip to Winter Wonderland at Sherwood Forest, Center Parcs to enjoy some quality time with the family.
I love visiting Center Parcs, it's one of my favourite places to take a break in England. I enjoy visiting both in the winter and summer, as it really is a beautiful escape - but there is something about their twinkling Christmas lights that cast a Christmas spell throughout the forest that makes Winter Wonderland feel an even more special time to visit. Visiting Winter Wonderland is by far one of my favourite traditions. Come take a peek into Center Parcs' Winter Wonderland and discover a perfect Spa escape within the forest.

The Fitness Update: December

Ahh December, the month of pigs in blankets, mulled wine and mince pies... It can be really hard to stay on track this time of year. Normally I'd be off the bandwagon and eating what ever my heart desires but since joining the gym (mid-November) I'm really into my fitness right now and getting back into superfoods again, so I want to motivate you to all stay on track!

Luxury Gift Guide For Her 2015

Ok, I may be a teensy bit early to the party, but I can't be the only one already getting excited for Christmas? And you can never be too organised, people! Christmas adverts are officially on the telly (have you seen the new John Lewis advert, it definitely made me well up) and Christmas decorations are starting to go up in the shops, so it's time to get thinking about what presents to buy. Here is my luxury gift guide for her (I will also be doing a gift guide for under £30!). These are pretty pricy items and are most definitely a luxury treat for the special women in your life. Whether it's your mum, friend or your own special lady, I'm sure they will be thrilled to receive any of these! (Or perhaps a naughty treat for yourself ;))

The Hungry Little Lady Travels | Nice

At the end of October, the girls and I went on a short get-away to the south of France. We landed in Nice. Nice is one of the biggest cities in France and is located on the beautiful French Riviera. This city is by far one of the most beautiful places I've travelled to. The old town is filled with winding streets, traditional buildings complete with decorative French shutters. The old town is charming and filled with lovely patisseries, restaurants and coffee shops. We were staying right in the heart of the town with just a two minute walk to the long stretch of pebbled beach. Here's my guide to Nice.

The French Rivera is by far one of the stunning places I've visited in the world, so far and I can't wait to return! Here is my travel diary for Cannes.

The Pier | Cleethorpes

The Pier has undergone a huge £.4.7 million transformation and has recently opened its doors to the public. It is so wonderful to see The Pier reformed to its former glory with The 1873 restaurant, The Promanade Public House and Tea Room now open. The large ballroom, which can cater for 280 diners has yet to have its grand opening. On this occassion, Clark and I agreed a date night was well over due and with The Pier newly opened, we just had to see for ourselves the special transformation.

Berries Are Back

Now we are into September and welcoming the new season, I feel it is well and truly acceptable to be rocking the dark lips once again. I bought a sushi set, hoping we'd get one or two uses out of it. After finding out how easy it is, we now practically live off the stuff!

Upon wakening to lovely sunny morning, I realised that it was Sunday. What better way to spend the day than visiting a village pub for a proper lunch? A traditional British Sunday dinner used to be dished up weekly as part of my growing up - My mum's seriously does rock! Now it has turned into a rarity for me, so I do treasure a good Sunday dinner. Twiny (Lucy) and I decided to meet at The Farmhouse, so I thought i'd bring you along with me!

Riverhead Coffee | Grimsby

A Saturday morning tradition for me and my mum, is to head to town in the morning and hit the shops before noon, as we much prefer to browse while it isn't too busy. I remembered this place that I had been wanting to try, as it is relatively new to the town. On this day the sun was already high in the sky, so we thought we'd have some refreshments before hitting the shops.

Lemon Sole Parcels | Recipe

I am lucky enough to have a boyfriend who adores cooking and baking, the kitchen is most certainly his domain. He always rustles up something nice for us, but I wanted to treat him to tea on this occasion. I always feel slightly intimidated cooking for Clark, as he is an ex-chef, but I really enjoy giving it ago, and he is always very praising which is encouraging. So if you are a newbie in the kitchen, like myself then this recipe is for you!
