Guilt-free Chocolate Milkshake Concoction using Blend Active!

I finally have my hands on a Blend Active juicer by Breville, an excellent blender that is a quater of the price of a Nutribullet. This blender is great for people that are experimenting with smoothies and juices for the first time but don't want to spend a ton to get started. What I love most about this style of blender is that it's so compact! It is easy to use, simply toss in ingredients and blend. This little machine has an impressive 300W power and can easily blend ice, nuts, fruit and veg. Viola! you have yourself a smoothie/juice ready to drink simply replace lid so no extra washing up either bonus!

Guilt-free Chocolate Milkshake Concoction

I have always been a fan of making fruit smoothies and veg juices, this is something not new to me. However my boyfriend*Clark* is not a fan of the healthy kind, this has made me determined to come up with a healthy concoction that even he will like! My boyfriend is in no denial of having a sweet tooth. For breakfast he regularly enjoys a bowl of coco pops and a glass of Nesquik chocolate milkshake *shudders*. So I have decided to create a chocolate milkshake full of superfoods that tastes better!
Whats great about this milkshake is that it is totally guilt free. There are NO bad ingredients, in fact every ingredient used in this recipe is full of goodness and health benefits! I honestly think this recipe is delicious, it's thick, creamy and tastes of chocolately goodness. Even better it only has 5 ingredients. So lets get on with the recipe.

1 Frozen Banana
-full of potassium, great energy boost
1 tbsp Cacao Powder
-most natural form of chocolate full of antioxidants
1 tbsp Almond Butter
-healthiest nut spread full of protein and healthy fats
1 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk
-healthier alternative to dairy milk
3 Medjool Dates
-full of fibre great to be used as a natural sweetener and replacement of sugar

So once you have your ingredients pop in a blender and BLEND AWAY - simples. This recipe creates a thick, creamy consistency if you prefer something smoother simply add more almond milk. If you was wanting a chocolate fix after a workout simply add a tbsp of your chosen protein powder. There are plenty of flavours to choose from on the market including banana, chocolate, vanilla and much more which can add to the flavour of your chocolate milkshake.

I hope you enjoy, thank you for reading.
Much love, The Hungry Little Lady x
