Belgrave Music Hall & Canteen | Leeds

With weather like this, nothing beats a rooftop bar! Lucy and I raised our glasses to the sky in our  new favourite hotspot in Leeds.
Belgrave Music Hall & Canteen is an independent venue with music, art, film and food spread over three floors, but my most importantly in summer, Leeds' most amazing roof top terrace.
Don't be fooled by the outside Belgrave is a gem inside! Brave the dark corridors and head upstairs.
We were greeted by bright blue skys and the funkiest rooftop bar to date.
We nabbed ourselves some great seats in the sunshine and hit the bar.
Cheers to friendship and sunshine!
We came to Belgrave early afternoon and had a choice of seating, but be sure to get here quick as the rooftop soon filled up quickly and shortly the place was packed!
The rooftop had an array of different seating areas, including deck chairs and the cutest beach huts to sit inside!
The rooftop bar had tons of colourful packaged cans to choose from, along with other draft beers and bottles. I choose these two by random, one being a whopping 7.1% IPA, so do drink responsibly ;)
Our drinks went down far too nicely on this gorgeous sunny day.
Belgrave's roof garden screams good vibes.
A good thing about being in a northern city, is that everyone is so friendly!
We spent the afternoon chatting with locals and sharing stories.
Twiny and I enjoying a good afternoon session.
The roof top garden is filled with fairy lights, plants and buntings. Every nook and cranny has something to catch your eye.
Time for some pizza!
I eagerly skipped down stairs to the slice bar and brought us up these badboys for us to enjoy.
Belgrave serve up delicious canteen style street food. After eyeing up everyones slices we just had to try the pizza, Homemade Dough Boys Pizza.
I wolfed down the 'Paul & Linda' slice: Artichoke, Sicilian olives, pimento, caper berries, smoked mozzarella and salsa verde. So good!
Lucy enjoyed the 'Silvio' slice: tomato, buffalo mozzarella, smoked sea salt and torn basil. Don't forget you can get half price slices 4pm-7pm Mon-Thur & 12pm-7pm Fri/Sat/Sun, you're welcome!
More beer!
After some more merry drinks, we headed off out into the late evening sun for a few more adventures, but i'll tell you about them another time!
We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon at Belgrave Music Hall & Canteen. We headed there about 3 o'clock on a weekday and had a picking of many seats, but come 6 o'clock it was already packed and there was a waiting list to get onto the rooftop garden. So be sure to get there early and enjoy the afternoon sun! I know thats what i'll be doing, until next time Leeds.
