A Day At Cleethorpes Rocks!

Cleethorpes Rocks took place this past weekend (22nd and 23rd August) for the fourth year running at Meridian Park. The Brew, along with other local bands took the stage that day, followed by The Pigeon Detectives headlining that night.
My friends and I all got together to celebrate another glorious summers day. It was a great day spent with even better company!

After a few at the local pub, we ventured down to Meridian Park to enjoy some live music and soak up the late-summer sun.
We took our beers and settled on the grass within the show ground.
Everyone was on a high enjoying the heat wave that took place that day.

The show ground had a relaxed atmosphere filled with fans supporting local bands and music lovers settling in deck chairs, we are in Cleethorpes after all.
The show ground was complete with bars and traders, serving up traditional festival grub such as ostrich burgers.

The sun finally began to set and we made our way to the front to enjoy The Brew rock the stage!

The Brew were awesome as always! It was nice to see them perform in their home town and everyone enjoyed a magnificent performance.
They rocked until the sun died down.

Following The Brew were the headliners for the night: The Pigeon Detectives.

They put on an awesome show!

It was a great night at Cleethorpes Rocks, fuelled with great music, beer and friends.

Once the bands had finished we made our way to the Signal Inbox Inn, formally known to the town as 'the smallest pub in the world.' This small pub sits next to Merdian Park.
As the name would suggest, it is a very small pub but it's filled with some amazing guest ales and plenty of outdoor seating on funky rail way tracks.

We continued the night with great friends
 ...and puppies!!!
Looks like I made a new friend that night. Cleethorpes Rocks was enjoyed by all! I am certain everyone is looking forward to the next one. The Brew were outstanding as always! It's always nice to see my friends perform at home. It was also a pleasure to listening to other local talent on a gorgeous afternoon. What better way to spend a summers day?

Thank you for reading.
