Cleethorpes Colour Run

Explosions of multi-colours filled Cleethorpes over the weekend as Cleethorpe's first Colour Run took place, Sunday 2nd September. There were high spirits throughout as thousands took part in the colourful run. The event celebrated health, being happy, getting together and being active as part of a community. Here is my photo diary of the day.
After an miserable and wet week, I was pleasantly surprised to wake up to the sun shining bright and early this Sunday morning. It was the day of the colour run and I couldn't wait to throw on my trainers and get down to the event.
Upon entering the arena at Meridian Parkway, it was already packed with people of all ages sharing their excitement for Cleethorpes Colour Run. Steph and I skipped on through, picked up our wrist bands and powder paint, then we were ready for the colourful festivities!
The 'before picture'. Things are about to get colourful...
We blasted our powder paints and got stuck right in!
Now we were ready for the colour run!

Thousands of people were creating their own colourful clouds all over the arena!

Once we looked the part we headed over to the stage, where everyone was warming up with some dance tracks!
The arena was buzzing with music and people rearing and ready for the run!
There was such a great atmosphere. The sun was shining, everyone was dancing and powder paint was everywhere

Powder paint was launched into the massive crowds as everyone cheered!

Once everyone was pumped and covered in colour, it was time to start the run.
Music continued throughout the surrounding areas of Cleethorpes, which was full of viewers, watching the colourful crowd run by.
The colourful 5K run was complete with checkpoints of powder paint explosions.
Steph and I were proud to have taken part in the run and finished it in around 20-25 minutes. Although you don't have to run this one, people skipped and danced their merry way past the coast on this sunny morning. It was a fantastic start to our day and we cannot wait to do it again!
Once people had finished, it was back to the stage for more music and colourful explosions!
Safe to say we were covered by the end of it.
Another successful event has taken place in Cleethorpes. It was great to see people of all ages getting involved and having fun. Did you take part in the Colour Run?

Thank you for reading.
Much love, The Hungry Little Lady x
