Running Update | Cleethorpes Colour Run

I cannot believe it's the 1st of September. August has gone by in a flash. I feel like the Cleethorpes Colour Run has snook up on us, with only six days to go. Are you ready? Here is my little update on all things sweaty and getting back into running.

So I set myself the aim of running three times a week and while I stuck to this target at the beginning of the month in August, I seem to have let myself slip in the last week or so. This being down to attending Leeds Festival (Mumford & Sons were SO dreamy) and eating my weight in cakes over the bank holiday oops. See blog post here. Now it's the 1st of September I need to get my act together, especially as I will be having a little get away to the French Riviera with the girls next month. I can at least attempt to look somewhat like a Victoria Secrets angel. Ahh a girl can dream.

The Routine I Will Be Doing In September:

I hope to fit a run in every day before the Colour Run but I don't want to fall off the running wagon once i've done it. I intend to stick to running two-three times a week. I think this is right for me as it is achievable and I won't start making excuses as to why I can't run that day.

The Song To Add To Your Playlist:

Of course I had to throw some Mumford & Sons into the mix so I can reminisce about them headlining at Leeds. Add I Will Wait to your playlist, when that chorus kicks in I guarantee your pace will perk up! 'aaaaand I will wait, I will wait foooor youuuuuuu' You get the gist.

The Recipe To Try Out:

Recently I have been making my Guilt-Free Chocolate Milkshake Recipe. The banana is great for a slow release of energy but this milkshake also makes a great pick me up after a workout. It's completely guilt-free and most importantly yummy! Try it out for yourself and tag any pictures on Instagram using @thehungrylittlelady.

Thank you for reading.
