October Favourites

October has been and gone, with Bonfire Night only two days away eek! (Can you tell i'm excited) So here's a roundup of beauty & non-beauty favourites i've been loving for throughout the past month.
As i've been in the South of France travelling, with just a small cabin case to hold my essentials (only being permitted 1x plastic bag for liquids). This was my idea of a nightmare... How was I supposed to fit in all my beloved skincare and make-up essentials!? I had to cut back on beauty packing and these three products made the cut.

First up: Contour Kit Highlight & Sculpt by Collection. I think this pallet might just be my holy grail pallet, coming in at £4.19 this baby is the perfect kit for creating a sculpted look. I picked this up on a whim, as I needed something light and slimline for my travels and it doesn't get any sleeker than this! It's so thin and didn't take up any room in my tiny cabin case. I've been wearing it every day for the last month as I find the matt-powder highlight prevents me looking like a disco ball when i'm trying to create that Kim K highlight! The contour powder is the perfect shade as it has slight grey undertones, it doesn't appear orange or muddy on the face which can easily be done with newby-contourers like me!
Next up: Rouge Edition in shade 39 Pretty in Pink by Bourjouis £8.99. Again this was picked up on a whim, thank you Boots 3 for 2! After browsing Boots make-up isles for quite some time, my mum was becoming quite impatient so I just grabbed this hoping it would make a great day-to-day, your lips but better shade, ya feel me? I absolutely adore the formula of the lipstick, I think it might just be the most silky, moisturising thing i've ever put on my chops! It's a gorgeous natural pink shade and will save my lips from drying out in the colder months.

My last beauty favourite is Bourjois's latest edition, their Air Mat foundation £9.99. I'm normally a BB cream/tinted moisturiser kind of girl and usually get sucked into things that claim to give you some kind of 'glow.' I never thought I would see myself picking up a matt foundation. The word matt next to foundation usually puts me off as I imagine dull, thick heavy stuff being slapped on. This stuff could not be more different. I decided to take the plunge and try it as although I love dewy foundations, they just do not mix well with my oily complexion during a long day at work. I wanted something that doesn't need touching up throughout the day. This foundation really is light as air and doesn't feel heavy on the skin. It has a slighter heavier coverage than what i'm used to, but looking flawless and non-shiny all day is a winner for me and from now on I will be sticking to my trusty Air Mat foundation.
My first non-beauty favourite is my new personalised phone case* £19.95. I've had so many compliments on it so far and I love that it is unique and personal to me. Go Customized have tons of designs to choose from, or you can upload your own pictures and add text to create your own quality personalised phone case, making the perfect gift for yourself or loved ones for the upcoming festive month. Hey, you've gotta treat yourself sometimes. You can make your own iPhone 5S case or design your own phone/tablet case as you wish, the website is really easy and simple to use and you can fit and adjust your design down to the last detail.
Lastly my trip to the South of France was by far my most favourite of the month. The girls and I visited Nice, Monaco and Cannes on our travels and indulged in some pretty amazing french cuisine. So keep an eye out for upcoming travel posts on our adventure, or in the mean time check out some of my snaps over on Instagram @thehungrylittlelady.

Thank you for reading.
Much love, The Hungry Little Lady x
