Aqua Sana Spa | Center Parcs

Taking the time to relax is easily forgotten in our busy day-to-day lives, but it's so important to treat yourself once in a while! It's important to take time to chill out and spend time with our loved ones. I love taking the time to relax, be that a pamper night in and enjoying a soak in the bath or taking the time to do an at-home facial. This past week, Clark and I went on a trip to Winter Wonderland at Sherwood Forest, Center Parcs to enjoy some quality time with the family.
I love visiting Center Parcs, it's one of my favourite places to take a break in England. I enjoy visiting both in the winter and summer, as it really is a beautiful escape - but there is something about their twinkling Christmas lights that cast a Christmas spell throughout the forest that makes Winter Wonderland feel an even more special time to visit. Visiting Winter Wonderland is by far one of my favourite traditions. Come take a peek into Center Parcs' Winter Wonderland and discover a perfect Spa escape within the forest.

What I love most about Center Parcs is the seclusion. It's peaceful and quiet as cars are not permitted to drive on most of the site, so you really feel like you are in the middle of a restful forest.

I think it's really important to get back to nature and enjoy the beauty of walking everywhere. As you slow down, you can truly admire the British wildlife. There are tons of paths and cycling routes that allow you to explore the forest.
You will often be greeted by squirrels - and rabbits come summer!
During the Winter Wonderland that runs 6th November - 3rd January, the park is adorned with Christmas decorations and lights for the whole family to enjoy.
One of my favourite things to do is simply taking a leisurely stroll through the forest and appreciate the tranquilness.
I think that Center Parcs is the perfect place to create magic and unforgettable memories for the whole family.
There is so much for the family to enjoy and discover for a Christmassy break before the big day.
We took a leisurely stroll until we couldn't feel our fingers.
We also enjoyed swimming, both indoor and outdoor - despite the cold weather. There is something magical about being in a warm heated pool, looking out into the freezing forest and up at the sky. After a couple of hours in the pool, racing down the rapids and slides (not so relaxing) we decided to head back to the apartment for a good old cup of tea.
Coming out of the swimming pool, we were greeted by a pitch black winter night sky and Christmas lights.
The Christmas lights just make Winter Wonderland!
The whole of Center Parcs is adorned in a glittering array of twinkling lights and decorations.
We hurried back to the apartment to get out of the cold.
The woodlands come alive with the anticipation of Christmas. It takes your breath away.
I love the lodges at Center Parcs as they really capture the beauty of the forest and bring it indoors. The apartments are comfy, cosy and modern, perfect for a relaxing break. You can even get apartments with private saunas for the ultimate un-winding beak.
After a warming cup of tea, discussing the adventures of the day, it was time to make our way to the Spa for our Aqua Sana Experience.
We braved  the cold until we were greeted by the grand (and Christmassy) Spa.
The Spa is modern and tranquil. The soothing atmosphere helps you instantly unwind.
They offer a huge selection of deluxe beauty products including Elemis, Decléor, CND, Bare Minerals and Mii.
The Aqua Sana Spa offers a range of different spa experiences and treatments. Highly trained therapists offer a broad choice of therapies to nourish, hydrate and renew the face and body, including: rejuvenating facials, deep relaxation massages, manicures/pedicures and make-overs.
We booked in for their 3 hour Twilight Aqua Sana Experience.
We were warmly welcomed by the staff, who instantly made us feel at ease for our spa experience.
We were guided to take our complementary robes and towels and were greeted by stunning clean-cut changing rooms.
The wooden lockers and printed lampshades brought a feel of the forest into the Spa.
We changed into our robes ready for the next three blissful hours of relaxation that awaited us.
The Aqua Sana Experience allows you to access the Spa, which  includes extensive rest rooms and areas that are just sheer bliss. Explore their Tepidarium to cleanse the body and boost your immune system. Each room is themed and includes different features from wet, to dry to hebal or meditative to help you find peace. Discover how multi-sensory effects can relax your body and clear your mind. You can enjoy their aqua meditation room while listening to the sound of water trickling and breathe in uplifting aromas to revitalise the body and refresh the mind.

Inside the Tepidarium you can unwind with the following: Indian Blossom Steam Room, Turkish Hammam, Reflexology Footbaths, Laconium, Tyrolean Sauna, Cabana, Tyrolean Garden, Japenese Salt Steam Bath (my personal favourite), Spa Seminars, Tepidarium, Waterbeds, Outdoor Terrace, Greek Herbal Bath, Relaxation Area, Aqua Meditation Room, Rest And Relaxation Room and an Outdoor Spa Pool. The site also includes features such as ice fountains, iced/scented flannels and showers with revitalising and relaxing settings to help unwind the body after experiencing each room.

The Outdoor Spa Pool centres the Tepidarium. The warm water allows you to soak, swim or float while looking up into the night sky or simply enjoy the jacuzzi jets. I enjoyed having a night under the stars while feeling the contrast of the cold air and warm water for ultimate relaxation.
Another favourite of the experience was the Japanese Salt Steam Bath. Each room is decorated to suit its theme. You can lounge on the relaxing mosaic tiled furniture while breathing in the deep/gentle steam to suit your needs to cleanse the body. Listening to calming music and trickling fountains also help uplift your spirits and help you unwind.
If you are feeling peckish during your experience, you can enjoy visiting Vitalé Café Bar to delight your senses with Mediterranean food and other tasty indulgences. I highly recommend the Anti Pasti as it was delicious and didn't leave us feeling too full. The cakes looked truly delicious and would go down a treat with a glass of Prosecco, the perfect addition to your Spa experience.
I left the Aqua Sana feeling radiant and revitalised. The whole experience is just heavenly. I loved being able to fully switch off without any distractions and simply enjoy the experiences. We didn't indulge in any treatments on this occasion, as we purely wanted to enjoy a chilled evening together but I can't wait to return and enjoy the treatments they have to offer. The Spa has a mellow vibe and is the great way to end the day, after fun-filled activities that are available at Center Parcs. The friendly staff are available to assist you to ensure you are at your most relaxed state.
This experience is the perfect treat for couples or your group of girl friends. It's a great way to spend  time together while boosting your outlook, lift your spirits and most importantly help you unwind. The Spa helps you let go of the stress of daily life and provides the perfect setting to help you feel refreshed, relaxed and renewed.
