Updated Skincare Routine

I can't believe I posted my last skincare routine back in 2015, as I love reading about skincare (hey, some people like partying - I like reading about skincare) and having a good nosey at what lotions and potions people are loving. So, I thought it was about time I let you have a nosey at the contents in my bathroom and talk you through my skincare routine that I am loving right now!

Make-up Removers

For a start, I wouldn't be without Clarins Instant Eye Make-up Remover . This can remove any eye look easily - smokey eyes and halloween make-up is no match for this make-up remover.

If I haven't gone particulary hard on my beloved UD Naked Palette, then I will go straight in with my favourite Micellar water to remove all traces of base and eye make-up. I'm still using Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water as it does exactly what it says on the tin: removes make-up, cleanses + soothes and I haven't found the need to try anything else!

For cleansing, it's got to be OSKIA Renaissance Cleansing Gel. I had wanted to try this cleanser for years, and I am kicking myself for not trying it sooner! After listening to At Home With... featuring Georgie Sleeve - Founder OSKIA skincare, I finally decided to pick one up! Now I know why this product is so cult. I noticed my skin looked glowing and radiant after ONE use (yes one use, ladies!) I like to massage this rich gel cleanser onto dry skin and leave it on for as long as possible before washing it off (I usually leave it on while I brush my teeth before continuing with the rest of my routine.) I'm guilty of not exfoliating enough, despite my love for skincare... So this cleanser is perfect for me as pumpkin enzymes purges pores and other magical ingredients help detoxify, soothe and reduce inflammation. Plus it smells super dreamy and spa-like *mhmm*.

I like to add Pixi Glow Tonic to a cotton pad and swipe it all over my face. Despite being enriched with 5% glycol acid, I find the exfoliating formula is gentle enough to use on the skin morning and night to reveal vibrant, healthy skin. I really have seen a difference in my skin since using this toner. I love that it exfoliates my skin, soothes and hydrates while giving my skin that glow!

I am still using my trusty La Roche-Posay Effaclar Due [+]. Gone are the days of troublesome teenage-skin days *touch wood*, but I simply don't dare remove this from my routine as it was the only product to save my skin. This is my safety blanket to prevent spots and speed up healing of the skin from any new blemishes.

I have been lovingly slapping on Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream. I have never been adventurous with moisturisers, I simply know what I like/don't like - so I've always stuck with my usual purchase. Until I decided to pick this up on a whim on a flight (any excuse to use up the last of your Euros aye?). While I thought my previous moisturiser was doing a lovely job, this stuff just feels increeedible to apply to the skin (is it ok to be this excited by a face cream?) because of it's ultra light texture and fast absorption into the skin. This baby really does leave you with silky soft skin.

With my 24th birthday fast approaching, I thought I best add an eye cream back into my routine. After a little bit of research I decided to pick up NUXE Contour Des Yeux Prodigieux Anti-Fatigue Moisturising Eye Cream. This triple action cream targets anti-ageing, anti-puffiness and reduces dark circles. While I can't say I've seen a difference yet, I like to believe prevention is better than cure.

Origins is still my favourite brand when it comes to face masks and I wouldn't be without Origins Out of Trouble 10 Minute Mask  in particular. I find this face mask less messy than their Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask, but does exactly - if not better job at clearing up my skin when I don't feel it's looking its best. I love treating myself to an at home facial or enjoying a good pamper night, so I'm always on the look out for new skincare products to try. I'd love to hear what your favourites are!

Thank you for reading.
Much love, THLL x
